PEORIA (HOI) – Community residents were given the prospect to not only prevent and odor the roses, but also observe four new sculptures at Donovan Park.

On Tuesday, the Peoria Park District set up 4 new sculptures at 9:00 a.m. at Donovan Park as portion of the project.

In accordance to volunteer coordinator for David Pittman, this job started out again in September of 2019 with money elevated in January of 2020. The scheduled installations experienced to be delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In February, organizers put in the 1st sculpture .

The four new sculptures set up on Tuesday contain the following:

‘Prometheus’ by Elizabeth Johnson
‘Surge’ by Jaci Willis
‘Nike’ by Fisher Stolz
‘Sweet Like Lemonade’ by Taylor Fawcett

The total goal is to supply community guests with high high-quality sculptures within just the all-natural landscape of the park.

The Donovan Sculpture Back garden is anticipated to have its sixth sculpture set up in the fall of 2021.
